How to Install K1
(MAC ONLY!)

1. Introduction
To install the Kaspar K1 search engine and Adobe Premiere extension, you must have the following requirements and software installed.
2. Requirements
- A Mac M1, M2 or M3 with at least 16GB of RAM
- Adobe Premiere Pro 2023+
- OS Ventura 13.4 forward
3. Installation
Download the following package that contains the K1 installer.
KasparK1.pkg
Double click to install K1 engine and extension to Premiere.
NB. Its important to give K1 permissions.
Go to system settings /Privacy & Security/full disk access, then use the + to add KasparK1 and grant it full permission.
When opening K1 for the first time you also need to allow it to be opened via the /Privacy & Security panel.
You are now ready to use Kaspar’s K1 extension!
Find K1 in under Window/Extensions in Premiere.
NB. For the extension to work, you have to open the K1 engine app, which you can find in your Apps folder.
Remember that the K1 engine should always be running in the background when the extension is in use.
You can close Premiere while its analysing footage.
ROBOCUT (beta feature)
In this version of K1 we have included the Robocut auto assemble assistant. It can be found in the settings menu. Please provide your own Open AI api key to use the feature.

Known bugs and issues in this version
K1 can not analyse files if they are in a bin.
K1 can not analyse multicam sequences and display them correctly
If there is below 30 seconds of footage analysed, K1 will not work properly

Advanced troubleshooting
If the installation has failed during the final stage (running postscript)
Then use following commands in the terminal.
First -
cd "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/RemoteComponents/UPI/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.app/Contents/MacOS"./UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent --remove "Kaspar K1"./UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent --install
then -
/Applications/KasparK1.app/Contents/PlugIns/com.kaspar-k1.cep.zxp
Having trouble uninstalling previous K1 version?
Then use these 2 commands in Terminal:
First -
cd "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/RemoteComponents/UPI/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent/UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.app/Contents/MacOS"
then -
./UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent --remove "Kaspar K1"
